Get To Know Me

Hello, I'm Blanca Monique (she/her/ella)!

Throughout the course of our work together, I will learn a lot about you, such as your fears and hopes, your family and friends and everything in-between. Because of the nature of therapy you won't learn as much about me. I understand this can make people uncomfortable, so I encourage all of my clients to ask questions, I will answer those which are appropriate and do not take focus away from you.

I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist based in Los Angeles, CA. I have worked in mental health since 2014 in various roles and have been a psychotherapist since 2016. I have experience conducting individual and family therapy, in-office and online, with clients presenting with depression, anxiety, relationship and parenting issues, LGBTQIA+ concerns, and a wide range of challenges including trauma, abuse, personal growth, adjustment issues, and crisis. I provide mental health services in both English and Spanish.

I am a queer Latina female who values self-understanding and expression. I  am a client-centered, strengths based therapist, which means I believe in using one's strengths, interests, and passion to help in their path of self-discovery and achieving their goals. I also draw from Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT).
